This topic describes the steps to change the Secure ShellSSH passphrase for a Lucent CM node.
Perform this procedure when the SSH passphrase has been compromised or has been forgotten.
Perform the following steps to change the SSH passphrase:
1 |
Login to any local CM node as “root” user. |
2 |
Enter: su - lps |
3 |
Change directory to /opt/lps/current/bin/. |
4 |
Execute the preparation script. Enter: ./modSSHPassphrase.sh |
5 |
Enter the SSH passphrase. The passphrase is used to generate public and private SSH keys. The passphrase must be between 5 and 128 characters and may contain spaces. Result: The passphrase is validated and the script requests root passwords. |
6 |
Enter the root passwords for all Lucent CM nodes. Result: A reconfiguration session is started. The script generates public and private SSH keys for the node. The public key is distributed to all nodes using SSH and root user access. When completed the reconfiguration session ends End of steps |
