Power and EMI substation standards

Purpose

Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX complies fully and partially with the substation standards that follow. All five standards are harmonized with each other.

Full compliance

Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX complies with the following standards:

• IEEE STD C37.90.1-2002: IEEE Standard for Surge Withstand Capability (SWC) Tests for Relays and Relay Systems Associated with Electric Power Apparatus (SWC)

• IEEE STD C37.90.2-2004: IEEE Standard for Withstand Capability of Relay Systems to Radiated Electromagnetic Interference from Transceivers (RFI)

• IEEE STD C37.90.3-2001: IEEE standard electrostatic discharge tests for protective relays (ESD)

Partial compliance

Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX complies with most of the criteria listed in the following standards:

• IEEE STD C37.90-2005: IEEE Standard for Relays and Relay Systems Associated with Electric Power Apparatus (Revision of C37.90-1989)

• IEEE STD 1613 -2003: IEEE Standard for Environmental and Testing Requirements for Communications Networking Devices in Electric Power Substations
