Procedure 8-2: Provision performance monitoring (PM) thresholds
Overview
Use this procedure to provision performance monitoring (PM) thresholds for ports or tributaries.
Privilege level
You must log in as a Privileged, General, or Maintenance user to provision PM thresholds.
Before you begin
Prior to performing this procedure, refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.
Steps
Perform the following steps to provision PM thresholds.

From the System View menu, select either Performance → Prov Near-End PM Threshold or Performance → Prov Far-End PM Threshold, as required, then select the desired port rate or tributary rate. Result: The Provision ( ) Near-End PM Threshold or Provision ( ) PM Far-End Threshold window opens for the port or tributary rate selected. |

In the table, find the required PM parameter and double-click inside the table cell for the desired threshold being provisioned. Enter or edit the required threshold values. Repeat for each threshold being provisioned. |

After all required threshold values are entered, click OK at the bottom of the window. End of steps |
