Physical shelf specifications

Overview

The following information about Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-5 shelves must be considered during installation.

Mounting brackets

The Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-5 High Capacity shelf has three different mounting options:

• ANSI rack-mount

  Brackets can be ordered that can be rotated to mount the unit in a 19-inch or 23-inch ANSI equipment rack. Refer to Shelf mounting options.

• ETSI rack-mount

  Brackets can be ordered to mount the shelf in an ETSI equipment rack.

• Wall-mount

  Brackets can be ordered that allow the existing rack-mount shelf to be mounted on a wall. The mounting orientation is determined by the customer. Refer to Figure 4-1, Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-5 High Capacity wall-mount front view.

You must order the appropriate mounting bracket kit that supports your desired application. Refer to Alcatel-Lucent 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS-5) Release 3.0 - 7.2 Engineering and Ordering Information for more information about the bracket options.

Rack bracket positions

The ANSI and ETSI rack brackets can be positioned at multiple locations along the side of the shelf to adjust its position in the equipment rack.
