Procedure 6-5.4: Provision Backplane timing mode
Overview
Important!
This is not a stand-alone procedure. Perform this procedure only as directed by Procedure 6-5: Network synchronization provisioning.
When the system is equipped with a VLNC55 in main-1 and a VLNC42B in main-2 (rtrv-eqpt:main-2:APP=VLNC42B), then Backplane is a valid Timing Mode.
Steps
Complete the following steps to provision the network element Timing Mode to Backplane.

From the System View menu, select Configuration → Timing/Sync. Result: The Configure Timing/Sync window opens. |

Select the System Timing tab. |

From the Timing Mode drop-down menu, select Backplane. |

Click OK. Result: A warning message may appear. Click Yes to execute the command. End of steps |
