Enable/disable OSI on IAO LAN port

Use this procedure to enable or disable OSI communications on the LAN port.

You must log in as a Privileged user to complete this procedure.

Prior to performing this procedure, refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.

Perform the following steps to enable or disable OSI communications on the LAN port.


1	From the System View menu, select Administration → Data Communications. Result: The Data Communications window opens.
2	Select the OSI LAN Management tab. Result: The IAO-LAN Port LAN-1 Settings appear.
3	Enable/Disable the OSI Function parameter for IAO LAN port LAN-1 as required. Important! If the TCP/IP function is disabled on LAN-1, OSI communications for LAN-1 cannot be disabled. Reference: Procedure 7-13: Provision TCP/IP on IAO LAN port
4	Click Apply, read the warning message, then click Yes to execute the command. Click Close to exit. End of steps
