Log out users

Procedure 7-19: Log out users

Overview

Use this procedure to log out an active user (including another privileged user) or all active users (excluding privileged and administration users) from the network element.

Privilege level

You must log in as a Privileged or Administration user to complete this procedure.

Before you begin

Prior to performing this procedure:

Refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.
Obtain the user IDs of the users to be logged out.

Steps

Complete the following steps to log out other users.

From the System View menu, select Administration → Security → Logout NE User.

Result:

The Logout NE User window opens.

If logging out...

Then...

one user,

Select the user ID and click This login. Then click OK.

A dialog box appears asking you to confirm logging out the user. Click Yes.

all non-privileged and non-administration users and the executing user's login session,

Select All logins and click OK.

A dialog box appears asking you to confirm logging out all applicable users. Click Yes.

Select Administration → Security → View Logged-In Users to obtain a list of logged-in users and verify that the desired users have been logged out. Click Close to exit.
