Procedure 16-3.1: Enable/disable connectivity fault management (CFM)

- Overview

The Connectivity Fault Management Configuration allows the user to enable/disable the CFM state in order to configure the parameters for the Service OAM feature per Ethernet port.

From the Navigation menu, select Service OA&M → Connectivity Fault Mgmt → Configuration.

The Connectivity Fault Mgmt Configuration window displays.

For CFM State, select Enable or Disable as required, then click Submit.

When disabling CFM, all configured CFM data will be deleted. A warning message will display to the user for confirmation. When enabling CFM, the hardware resources may not be available. In this case, the enabling command will fail. When the State is Disable, the first MD creation changes the State to Enable. When the State is Enable, the last MD deletion changes the State to Disable.
