Procedure 16-2.1: Enable/disable connectivity fault management (CFM)

- Overview

The Connectivity Fault Management Configuration allows the user to enable/disable the CFM state in order to configure the parameters for the Service OAM feature per Ethernet port.

Disable is not allowed:

  • If any MA has its CCM Interval set to under one (1) second.

  • If there is a VLAN loopback on Port 1 or Port 2.

  • If p34mux is enabled.

  • If a VLAN loopback with sada_handling set to 1 or 2 is configured on one of the ports.

From the Navigation menu, select Service OA&M → Connectivity Fault Mgmt → Configuration.

Equivalent CLI command: ethoam cfm.

Result:

The Connectivity Fault Mgmt Configuration window displays.

For CFM State, select Enable or Disable as required, then click Submit.
