Before you begin

Important!

TL1 commands or the Web GUI are required to interface with the VLNC42B Ethernet Aggregator circuit packs for T-MPLS provisioning.

The procedures in this chapter use the Web GUI with corresponding reference to the equivalent TLI commands. When using TLI commands, refer to the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS-5) TL1 Command Guide for T-MPLS.

Perform the “Pre-conditioning steps for T-MPLS” in the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS-5) Release 7.2.X Customer Release Notes to guarantee proper T-MPLS performance and prepare the VLNC42B for T-MPLS remote in-band management via a T-MPLS pseudo-wire.

Required equipment

All procedures in this chapter require a Personal Computer (PC).
