What does NSP Flow Collector administration involve?

Description

You may occasionally need to perform one or more of the following on an NSP Flow Collector, which is an ancillary NSP component deployed outside the NSP cluster:

• Start or stop the component.

• Display the component status or release level.

• Configure flow collection using the component web UI; see Workflow: configure flow statistics collection for information.

The following procedures describe how to perform such actions.

Note: Some operations require a familiarity with flow statistics and the associated NSP collection, transfer, and storage mechanisms. See the “Flow statistics collection” chapter in the NSP NFM-P Statistics Management Guide for information about the flow statistics collection and processing options.
