To switch from non-secure to secure mediation
Steps

Choose Administration→Mediation from the NFM-P main menu. The Mediation (Edit) form opens. |

Click on the Mediation Security tab. You can create a mediation policy as described in To configure device mediation , or modify the default mediation policy to use SSH2. Perform one of the following.

Configure the required parameters using the prescribed values:

Configure the remaining parameters on the form. |

Save your changes and close the form. |

Create a new discovery rule that uses the new SSH2 mediation policy as the read-access mediation policy and the write-access mediation policy. See To configure a discovery rule for information about creating discovery rules. |

Choose Administration→Discovery Manager from the NFM-P main menu. The Discovery Manager (Edit) form opens. |

Click on the Managed State tab. A list of managed devices appears. |

Choose the device from the list that you want to use SSH2 for CLI sessions and secure file transfers. |

Click Properties and click on the Mediation Security tab. |

Choose the newly created SSH2 mediation policy as the read access mediation policy. Note: You can also change the mediation policy for a discovery rule by performing Step 11 and choosing a discovery rule from the Discovery Rules tab. |
