To run an OAM validation test for a composite service
Purpose
A validator test suite must be created for the tested entity. See
Chapter 89, Service Test Manager for more information about how to create a validator test suite.
Note: As an alternative, you can also run an OAM validation test on the composite service by performing a One Time Validation. This is a mostly automated procedure and is described in
To run a one-time validation test on a service .
Steps

Choose Manage→Service→Composite Services from the NFM-P main menu. The Manage Composite Services form opens.

Select a composite service and click Properties. The Composite Service (Edit) form opens.

Click Action and choose Validate. If a validator test suite is not associated to the composite service, a dialog box appears. Perform the following steps:

Click OK to associate the composite service with an existing validator test suite. The Choose Validator Test Suite form opens.

Select a validator test suite and click OK The Choose Validator Test Suite form closes.

View the Operational Flags indicators. If the validation test fails, a check mark appears beside the OAM Validation Failed indicator.

Click on the Tests tab.

Click on the Tested Entity Result tab.

Select an entry and click Properties. The Tested Entity Result form opens and displays information about the validation test.

Close the forms.
