GPRS tunneling protocol

GTP is the protocol between GSNs in the UMTS/GPRS backbone network. GTP is the standard that specifies interfaces for the GPRS within the 3GPP system:

• the Gn and Gp interfaces of the GPRS

• the Iu, Gn, and Gp interfaces of the UMTS system.
