Installing an NSP auxiliary database

This section describes standalone and geographically redundant, or geo-redundant, NSP auxiliary database installation.

Consider the following:

Before you attempt to deploy an NSP auxiliary database, you must ensure that any firewall in place allows the required auxiliary database traffic to pass within the NSP deployment.

Each station in an NSP auxiliary database cluster must be in the same management LAN segment, and not geographically dispersed.
The internal communication among the auxiliary database cluster stations must be isolated to a dedicated private network; otherwise, management network congestion may result.
Each station IP address used for internal communication must be associated with an interface connected to the private network, and must be the only IP address of the interface.
