Workflow to configure TCA

Purpose

The following is the sequence of high-level actions required to configure TCA and enable the TCA function on a monitored object.

Stages
 

Enable performance statistics collection on the object to monitor. Table 19-1, Port statistics policy objects for TCA lists the port statistics policy objects required to enable TCA on a network interface or physical link.

If you require custom TCA rules, configure a custom profile TCA; see To configure a custom profile TCA .


Configure a TCA policy; see To configure a TCA policy . For TCA policies intended to be used on a 1830 TPS, see To create an 1830 TPS TCA policy.

  1. Configure utilization, error, and drop TCA rules.

  2. Optionally, associate a custom profile TCA with the policy.


Apply the TCA policy to an object; see To apply a TCA policy to objects using the object properties forms .
