Migrating Release 22.6 or earlier flow-data collection to an NSP cluster
Migration synopsis
Release 24.4 and earlier NSP Flow Collectors and Flow Collector Controllers are hosted on stations outside the NSP cluster. In later releases, flow data collection is containerized, so is configured, hosted, and controlled by an NSP cluster.
In order to retain the existing flow collection capability in an NSP deployment being upgraded from Release 24.4 or earlier, you must perform a migration of the flow collection configuration to the NSP cluster, as described in To migrate Release 22.6 or earlier NSP Flow Collectors and Flow Collector Controllers to an NSP cluster.
Note: Each Flow Collector and Flow Collector Controller must be at the same release before you attempt a migration to the NSP cluster.
Note: After the migration, Kafka Path Control subscriptions replace the former NRC-P JMS event streams.
Migrating from Release 22.3 or earlier
You cannot perform a direct migration from Release 22.3 or earlier; you must first upgrade each Flow Collector and Flow Collector Controller to a release that is no later than 24.4.
