Configuring developer mode
Developer mode
Developer mode is enabled by default. By default, users with the required permissions can create, change, and delete artifacts such as workflows, intent types, and Jinja2 templates.
If there is a requirement for restriction of programmable artifacts in the NSP, for example, in a production environment, disabling developer mode is recommended.
When developer mode is disabled, the following restrictions apply to all users in the NSP UI:
-
From the Network Intents views: intent types cannot be created, imported, modified or deleted.
-
From the Artifacts views: unsigned artifact bundles cannot be installed.
Note: Disabling developer mode supersedes user access control settings. If developer mode is disabled, restricted actions are blocked for all users regardless of their permissions.
