An NSP license file is digitally signed. If you rename or modify the license XML file, the NSP rejects the license and network management may be severely compromised.
You must not rename or modify the XML file inside a compressed license file.

Note: You require root user privileges on the NSP deployer host to perform a license-management procedure in an NSP cluster.
Note: release-ID in a procedure step has the following format:
R.r.p-rel.version
where
R.r.p is the NSP release, in the form MAJOR.minor.patch
version is a numeric value
