To compare NE configuration rollback files

Purpose

Perform this procedure to compare NE configuration rollback files with each other or with the current NE configuration file.

Steps

Choose Administration→NE Maintenance→NE Configuration Rollback from the NFM-P main menu. The NE Configuration Rollback form opens.

Click on the NE Rollback tab.

Choose a device and click Properties. The NE Rollback (Edit) form opens.

Click on the Checkpoint Files tab.

Perform one of the following:

  1. To compare the NE configurations of two checkpoint files:

    1. Choose two checkpoint files.

    2. Click Compare File and choose Checkpoint Vs Checkpoint.

  2. To compare the NE configurations of a checkpoint file and the active configuration:

    1. Choose a checkpoint file.

    2. Click Compare File and choose Checkpoint Vs Active-Configuration.

  3. To compare the NE configurations of a checkpoint file and the rescue file:

    1. Choose a checkpoint file.

    2. Click Compare File and choose Checkpoint Vs Rescue.

  4. To compare the NE configuration of the current configuration and the rescue file, click Compare File and choose Active-Configuration Vs Rescue.

The Checkpoint Compare window opens listing differences between the selected configuration files; see Comparing configuration files for information.
