How do I manually escalate or de-escalate an alarm?

Purpose

You can promote or demote the severity of an alarm by editing the alarm directly. These settings apply to NSP, WS-NOC, and MDM alarms. NFM-P alarm settings are configured in the NFM-P GUI; see the NSP System Administrator Guide.

You must have administrator privileges to configure alarm settings.

Steps

In the Network Map And Health, Current Alarms view click More png4.png on the right side of a row and choose Edit Alarm(s).

Click on the Severity drop-down menu and choose a new severity level for the alarm, then click Save to save your changes.
