How do I modify the system IP MPLS configuration policy?

Purpose

Use this procedure to modify the IP MPLS Configuration policy. The IP MPLS Configuration policy allows you to configure the maintenance mode of an IP link. You can choose one of the following maintenance modes:

  • Manual

    You must manually resignal LSPs, trigger GCO, or wait for network changes to move resources from the affected link and back onto the best path.

  • Automatic

    NSP automatically moves LSPs from the affected resources, usually using re-signalling.

Steps

Perform one of the following:

  1. From the Path Control, Policies view, choose System IP MPLS Configuration from the drop-down menu and click Create Policy png5.png. The Edit System IP MPLS Configuration form opens.

  2. From the Path Control, Policies view, click Edit png7.png in-line with the System IP MPLS Configuration policy. The Edit System IP MPLS Configuration form opens.

Configure the required parameters:

Specifies whether the LSPs riding a link set that is placed into maintenance mode must be manually rerouted, or if this will occur automatically
