What are the best practices for creating config objects for classic NEs?

Classic NE limitations and best practices

Some limitations apply when creating config objects, especially for classic NEs.

  • TWAMP Light Reflector (for model-driven and classic nodes):

Valid values for the UDP port field in NSP are 0, 1 - 65 535.

  • Bin Groups:

There is no bin count entry in NSP, and NSP does not create default bins for classic NEs. At least two bin entries must be added for each BinType (fd, fdr, ifdv) when a BinGroup is created, and one of the BinNumbers must be 0.

  • CFM Domain and CFM Association:

The MA-Index and MD-Index fields must not be modified during editing of a CFM Domain or CFM Assocation flow.
