How do I create or change a config object?

Purpose

Use this procedure to create or modify a config object from the NSP UI. Parameters in the Create OAM Config Object form depend on the type of config object being created. Some parameters may not be applicable to all NE types.

Config objects can also be created using RESTCONF, using classic IP mediation, or, for CFM objects in particular, can be auto-generated when CFM tests are created.

Note: Naming convention requirements apply for config objects that involve IP Edge NEs, that is, 7705 SAR and 7210 SAS. If a config object may be used in a test involving an IP Edge NE, the naming convention must be followed. This includes hybrid scenarios involving an IP Edge NE and another NE type. See the Network Developer Portal for more details.

CAUTION

Service Disruption

The name of an object, including config objects, cannot contain a semicolon (;) or backslash (\).

The use of these characters in an object identifier will result in corrupted data that must be deleted by Nokia support.
