Introduction

To assist readers already familiar with NSP installation and upgrade, this section summarizes the major changes introduced in this release and provides links to the affected content.

Not all changes are noted; it is recommended that you always perform an installation or upgrade by carefully following the directions in the most recent issue of the Installation and Upgrade Guide on the Documentation Center.

SSO parameters move from configuration file to Users and System Security

Most SSO parameters formerly described in Configuring single sign-on move from the NSP configuration file to Users and System Security in the NSP UI.

NSP Licensing

NSP system licensing is now completed through the NSP UI after installation or upgrade. A module, called the Centralized License Manger (CLM) is installed with NSP and is used to install the NSP license key and, optionally, to control the license entitlement and usage for managed network functions. See “How do I install the NSP license?” in the NSP System Administrator Guide for more detailed instructions.

NSP auxiliary database procedures

Align the auxiliary database procedures with the latest NSP software.
