Telemetry artifacts include vendor agnostic device telemetry bundles, device telemetry bundles, accounting telemetry bundles, and telemetry YANG definition files. Vendor agnostic and accounting telemetry artifacts are included in the adaptation artifact bundle for an NE type.

There is no dependency between vendor agnostic device telemetry bundles and device telemetry bundles, and no requirement to install both. If the telemetry counters you need to collect are vendor agnostic, you can install only the adaptation artifact bundle.

Note: Device telemetry artifacts are for gNMI-capable devices only.

Device telemetry files may have dependency on telemetry YANG files. Before you install a device telemetry bundle, verify the files in the telemetry YANG collection to see if the counters you need are present in any YANG file. If you are installing telemetry YANG files and a device telemetry bundle, the YANG files must be installed first.
