What does the Network Inventory show me?
Access network objects
The Network Inventory provide a GUI for network operators to examine equipment across the network. It is a repository of network objects, categorized into the Equipment Inventory, Service Inventory, and Network Topology. These inventories are further categorized into objects types, and presented in a series of object lists.
The Network Inventory lets you browse lists of various equipment, including NEs, cards, ports, links, LSPs, services, and service components. These object lists can be filtered to display smaller subsets of objects, and exported to CSV files.
An NSP operator could use the Network Inventory to:
Object lists
The object lists display detailed data displayed for each list item in columnar format. The total number of objects in the list is displayed in the Row Count parameter at the bottom of the list.
The object lists have a variety of tools available to help you control what you see, including sorting and filtering options:

Show the Inventory categories: Expand
the navigation panel on the left-hand side of the Inventory. The Equipment Inventory, Service Inventory, and Network Topology categories appear. You can expand the inventory categories to show object lists, categorized by object type.

Search the inventories: Type an object type in the
Search field. Results matching the search string appear in the navigation panel.

Refresh the list: Click
Refresh. The last refresh date and time appear at the bottom of the list.

View detailed information about a list item: On a list item, click
Table Row Actions and select the NSP GUI in which to view the object; see How do I open an Inventory object in a different NSP GUI?.

Filter the object list under a specific column: Type a text string in the text field or select a filter option at the top of a column.
The object list automatically updates with filter results as you type your filter string. The Row Count parameter adjusts as filters are applied to the list.
Where applicable, click
Filter Menu next to the text field, select an operator from the drop-down list, and type a filter string.
Next to the column headers, click Table Settings and Actions
, Clear Filters to clear column filters.
Lists with a filter applied do not update with new data after a refresh. You must clear and reapply the filter(s) to refresh the list.

Sort the object list under a specific column: Click on a column header to sort the list under that column. Click on the header again to toggle between ascending and descending sorting.
Next to the column headers, click
Table Settings and Actions, Clear Sorting to clear column sorting.

Export objects: Next to the column headers, click
, Table Settings and Actions, Export All to export all objects in the list, Export filtered to export a reduced portion of the list, or Export Selected to export selected objects. The exported objects are copied to a CSV file.
