In order to enable the creation of Analytics reports and dashboards, an operator must:

• enable or disable the required types of data collection

• specify the statistics classes for data collection and aggregation

• specify how long to retain the data

The following can also be configured by an administrator:

• E-mail server settings; see “How do I configure an e-mail server for notifications?” in the NSP System Administrator Guide.

• Logging of Analytics server events; see “How do I manage NSP Analytics logging?” in the NSP System Administrator Guide

Note: E-mail server settings and event logging must be configured again after an upgrade, or after the analytics-server-0 pod has been terminated.

Changing NSP email or Analytics logging settings automatically restarts the Analytics server, causing it to be unavailable for a few minutes after the change.
