How do I create resource groups?

In this step, you will create resource groups that, when associated with roles, grant NSP user access permissions to specific network resources. A resource group is a collection of network objects of the same type, and a group directory is a collection of resource groups.

To add a group directory, click + Network Element Group Directory. The Add Directory.

Fill in the information to add a group directory::

  • Group Directory Name—Required

  • Group Directory Description

Click OK to add the directory.

The group directory is created.

To add a resource group, click png1.png beside the group directory name and press Add Group.

The Create NEs window opens.

Fill in the information for Identification section of the form:

  • Group Name—Required

  • Description

In the Add NEs section, select NEs and use the filter to refine your selection.

Click Submit.

When you are finished creating resource groups, click Continue to proceed to the next step.
