Pathway to remove NFM-P information

Purpose

If NFM-P is installed and not active in an NSP deployment, you can remove NFM-P after upgrading NSP and the auxiliary database to Release 25.11 or later.

This pathway removes the following NFM-P information. NSP reports are not affected.

  • N&S (Network and Service) reports and data domain

  • Flow Collector BB-NAT support

Use this pathway through the documentation to access detailed procedures for removing NFM-P and related information from the auxiliary database in an NSP cluster deployment. You require root or NSP admin user privileges on the NSP deployer host.

release-ID in a file path has the following format:

R.r.p-rel.version

where

R.r.p is the NSP release, in the form MAJOR.minor.patch

version is a numeric value

Stop NFM-P.

Upgrade your standalone or DR NSP system.

If you are upgrading from Release 25.8 or earlier, perform Chapter 8, NSP system upgrade from Release 25.8 or earlier.

If you upgrading from Release 25.11 or later, perform Chapter 9, NSP system upgrade from Release 25.11 or later.


Check connectivity between the auxiliary database and upgraded NSP system.

You can verify that the Analytics reporting is operating as expected on the upgraded NSP system.

Remove NFM-P.

Upgrade the auxiliary database.

On a standalone NFM-P system, perform To upgrade a standalone Release 25.11 or earlier auxiliary database.

On a redundant NFM-P system, perform To upgrade a geo-redundant Release 25.11 or earlier auxiliary database.


Clean up the auxiliary database tables.
