Logical channel assignments

Within an optical switch of an optical network, there can be quite complex associations between logical channels at various stages of the multiplexing. However, within SRLinux, logical channels are only used for digital-coherent-optic transceivers that have a much simpler mapping This list is mainly for a mapping of the chain of logical elements from the host Ethernet interfaces across the transceiver to the media interface. Linkage may be specified in both the output (host interface to media interface) and input (media interface to host interface) directions. For logical channels of type Ethernet, this assignment allows the configuration of the mapping to an interface and to the OTN logical channel on the media side of the transceiver. For logical channels of type OTN, this assignment allows the configuration of the mapping to an optical channel and to ethernet logical channels.
