Data collection

The Device performs PUBLISH operations to publish data using a topic format that is acceptable within IMPACT IoT. This is in line with other message brokers IMPACT IoT has a predefined message format.

IMPACT IoT notifies a registration device update event when the device notifies a resource that has not been yet MQTT published. For more information, refer to IIMPACT IoT Core REST API document.

As a result, all IoT applications which have subscribed to this event will be aware of this new resource.

Note: IDC does not send a notify report event for an unknown resource by IMPACT IoT. IMPACT IoT notifies a report event for a resource to IoT applications that have subscribed to this resource. IMPACT IoT does not accept a subscription or a read/write command on an unknown resource by IMPACT IoT.
