This topic describes the steps to recover a node. Recovery of a node re-establishes the existing provisioning of a node.
Recovery of a node is the same as adding a node. The only difference is that the node that is recovered is already in the database. Recovery is used when you replace hardware. For example because of failing hardware, or when new hardware is used for an existing node.
Ensure the hardware and operating system functions properly before you perform this procedure.
Perform the following steps to recover a node:
1 |
At the Lucent CM Explorer tree view, select the node that must be recovered Lucent CM System → Nodes → <nodename>) Result: The Node Info tab displays. |
2 |
Click Recover. |
3 |
Enter the SSH pass-phrase and the root password for the server you are connected to. Result: The node is added using the information already stored in the Lucent CM database. End of steps |
