The stages to create a partition are:

Add packages and services that are needed for the partition.

Partition specific services typically include:

  • Authentication services

  • Call logging services

  • Messaging services

  • Call server services

    Including packages:
    • Domain

    • Dialing Rules

    • Features

    • User Features.

  • Search services

  • Skin services.

Add a partition.

The partition represents an enterprise in the Lucent CM Explorer.

Add at least one group.

Groups are used to divide the partition for organizational or functional purposes.

You can assign different services and features to different groups in the partition.

Add display groups if group services are required.

Add partition administrators.
