Group provisioning

Description

On the Lucent FS 3000 system, a group needs to be created within a partition. The partition represents the enterprise and it’s new users.

The following information must be defined to set up a group:

This provisioning is done completely on the Lucent FS 3000 system.

Configure resources

After setting up a service provider, you need to add a group and use the following Lucent FS 3000 pages to configure resources for the group:

You do not assign any New Templates or Existing User services. These functions are handled by Lucent CM.

Assign services

Since the Lucent CM controls user creation and their services, all user services should be marked as Available.

The easiest way to make all services available to the group resources is to click Select All on the Group Resources page

The Lucent FS 3000 has a facility to assign default user services using “templates”, but this should NOT be used, since Lucent CM controls user and user service creation.

Set up hosted voice mail

To set up the Lucent FS 3000 hosted voice mail, the Messaging Service must point to the mail server. The mail server should be the Default Group Mail Server, the host name of the mail server must be specified as the Mail Server ID, and the Mail Server Protocol should be IMAP (so that Lucent CM can display the messages).

To get the mail off the Lucent FS 3000 system you need to add the primarySMTPAddress. Perform the following on the Lucent FS 3000 command line interface:

>bwcli
>login admin/admin
>interface
>mail
>set primarySMTPServer <SMTP server name>

Set up the voice portal

The voice portal needs to be configured so that users can pick up their voice mail through the voice portal. The extension specified on the voice portal (as part of assigning a phone number) should be the same value you specify in the VMS Forward To Number and VMS Retrieve From Number parameters on the Lucent CM Message Service tab.
