Lucent CM Explorer interface description

Purpose

This topic describes the Lucent CM Explorer administration client and the terminology that is related to the administration client.

The terms that are explained are used throughout this document.

Tree view

 

Shows folders and items.

 

Tab

 

Shows lists, parameters, checkmark boxes and buttons.

 

Parameter and parameter value

 

Parameters to view and enter information.

 

Menu bar

 

Provides access to options to perform configuration operations and retrieve information.

 

Folder

 

A folder groups items that are related.

The folders are expanded and collapsed by clicking the + or - in front of the folder name.

Button

 

To perform actions, retrieve information and configuration operations.

 

Status area

 

Displays the status of operations that are performed.

For example, successful or failure indications are shown.

 

Dialog boxes

From the Lucent CM Explorer administration client, dialog boxes can open.

Confirmation dialog boxes

 

Dialog box to confirm an action.

For example, a delete operation.

Dialog box to inform the user of an error or remind the user of an action.

 

Folders not showing

When applications are not running, the folders that are related to the application are not shown in the folder pane.
