100BASE-FX optical Ethernet specification

Overview

The 100BASE-FX PTMs can be used on the LNW74, LNW87, and LNW170.

System specifications

The following are the 100BASE-FX system specifications:

• Optical Line Rate: 125 MBd ±50 ppm

• Optical Line Coding: 4B/5B

• Fiber Type: 50/62.5 μm MMF

• Minimum Range: 2 to 2,000 m

• Performance: short-reach

Transmitter specifications

The 100BASE-FX transmitters meets these specifications defined in IEEE 802.3. The table below describes some of the transmit specifications for 100BASE-FX.
