Principal requirements for Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX equipment are as follows:
GR-63, covering physical requirements (earthquake resistance, thermal shock, fire, etc.)
GR-1089 covering electrical requirements (electromagnetic interference, electrostatic discharge, grounding, etc.)
CSA-C22.2, No. 60950-00, UL609503 Safety of information technology equipment.
For the fully equipped cabinet/bay configuration, a functional test of the Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX shelf must be performed with all systems powered at their appropriate levels for typical service applications that approach the maximum current drains detailed in Current drains. The OSP cabinet surfaces must be respectively heated at the appropriate maximum solar radiation levels. Absorbed solar heating must be estimated using the formulations and methods in accordance with GR-487 and the ASHRAE handbook.
During this testing measure, record, and provide upon request:
Air Velocities in the airflow channels formed by the circuit packs in linear ft/min.
Air temperature entering and exhausted from the Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX shelf (ºC). Three K or T type thermocouples must be added at the inlet and exhaust of all circuit pack slots. Take the average of the three thermocouples for each circuit pack slot for both inlet and exhaust and record (Tinlet_avg, Texhaust_avg, TC type, and slot number).
Ambient temperature (temperature outside the cabinet/bay and measured in ºC).
Solar heating loads on respective cabinet/bay surfaces (ºC).
