Use this procedure to add/modify/delete static IP routes on DCC links. The static routes are added into the routing table and used to forward IP packets through the provisioned outgoing DCC interfaces to reach the destination IP addresses.
Prior to performing this procedure:
Refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.
Verify that the work instructions specify the required DCC port AID, Destination IP, Destination IP Subnet Mask, and the required provisioning.
If adding a static route, verify that IP over DCC is enabled for the required DCC port using the View → DCC Terminations command to access the View DCC Terminations window. If required, refer to Procedure 6-4: Provision DCC terminations to provision the required DCC port.
Perform the following steps to add/modify/delete static IP routes on DCC links.

From the System View menu, select Administration → Data Communications. Result: The Data Communications window opens. |

Click on the IP Routing tab at the top of the window. Result: The IP Routing parameters display. |

In the Manual Routes panel, click on the edit icon (glasses) to add/modify/delete an entry. Result: The Add/Modify/Delete a Manual Route window opens |

Select the required DCC port from the AID: drop-down list. Enter the Destination IP and Destination IP Subnet Mask parameters according to the work instructions, and click Add/Modify/Delete, as required. Result: The Add/Modify/Delete a Manual Route window closes |

Click Apply to execute the command. |

Repeat Step 3 through Step 5 to provision other static routes on DCC links; otherwise, click Close. End of steps |
