Procedure 7-9.3: Set security and/or history log thresholds

- Overview

Important!

This is not a stand-alone procedure. Perform this procedure only as directed by Procedure 7-9: Set NE defaults — alarm gateway, alarm group, remote NE status, FTP/FTTD, security and history log thresholds.

Use this procedure to set the Security Log Warning Threshold and/or the History Log Warning Threshold. The Threshold is the percentage of entries entered since the last Security/History Log Overflow event message was issued. When this threshold is reached another Security/History Log Overflow event message is issued and the threshold counter is reset to zero.

Steps

Perform the following steps to set the security/history log warning threshold.

1

Under Log Warning Threshold, select the parameter values required for the Security Log Warning Threshold and/or History Log Warning Threshold.

The Threshold may be disabled or set as a percentage of entries entered since the last Security/History Log Overflow event message was issued. Values may be entered from 10% to 100% in increments of 10%. The default is 90%.

Selecting 0%-Disabled inhibits the issuing of the Security/History Log Overflow event message.

2

Click OK at bottom of the window, read the warning message, then click Yes to execute the command.
