Procedure 7-9: Set NE defaults — alarm gateway, alarm group, remote NE status, FTP/FTTD, security and history log thresholds

Use this procedure to provision the following:

  • Remote NE Status

  • Alarm Gateway and Alarm Groups

  • FTP and/or FTAM-FTP Gateway

  • Security and History Log warning thresholds.

- Privilege level

You must log in as a Privileged user to complete this procedure and its supporting elements.

- Before you begin

Prior to performing this procedure:

  1. Refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.

  2. Obtain the work instructions for this procedure.

Steps

Perform the following steps to provision NE defaults.

From the System View menu, select Administration → Set NE.

Result:

The Set NE window opens.
