Use this procedure to test circuit pack LEDs.
Important!
The LED test does not affect the LEDs on the fan unit
You must log in as either a Privileged, General, or Maintenance user to complete this procedure.
Prior to performing this procedure:
Refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.
Refer to Electrostatic discharge in Chapter 1, Safety.
Ensure that Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMXtend is equipped with required circuit packs at the node being tested.
Complete the following steps to perform the LED test.

Important! All LEDs on the shelf may be tested using Fault → Test → LED or the ACO TEST push-button on the SYSCTL circuit pack. The Fault → Test → LED command may also be used to test LEDs on an individual circuit pack. The LED test does not affect the LEDs on the fan unit

Press and hold the ACO TEST push-button momentarily on the SYSCTL circuit pack. Verify that all circuit pack LEDs light, and release the ACO TEST push-button. The LEDs revert to their previous state. If the ACO TEST push-button is pressed for two or more seconds and released, the IND display on the SYSCTL circuit pack faceplate shows the generic software version. | ||||||

From the System View menu, select Fault → Test → LED. | ||||||

Highlight Shelf (tests all shelf LEDs) or CP xxx (tests individual circuit pack LEDs) and click Select. Result: The Test LED window opens. | ||||||

In the Number of Iterations field, enter a number from 1 to 10 from the pull-down menu to indicate the number of cycles during which the LED test should be repeated and click OK. Important! On-site personnel must be physically in front of NE to witness the LED test cycles. Result: For each iteration: | ||||||
