Procedure 7-12: Enable/disable OSI on an IAO LAN port
Overview
Use this procedure to enable or disable OSI communication for IAO LAN ports LAN-1 and/or LAN-2.
Before you begin
Prior to performing this procedure, refer to Before you begin and Required equipment in this chapter.
Steps
Perform the following steps to enable or disable OSI communication for IAO LAN ports LAN-1 and/or LAN-2.

From the System View menu, select Administration → Data Communications. Result: The Data Communications window opens. |

Select the OSI LAN Management tab. Result: The IAO LAN parameters appear. |

Enable/Disable the OSI Function parameter for IAO LAN ports LAN-1 and/or LAN-2 as required. Important! OSI Function and TCP/IP Function cannot both be enabled on LAN-2. Reference: Procedure 7-15: Provision TCP/IP and Proxy ARP on an IAO LAN port |

Click Apply at bottom of the screen, read the warning message, then click Yes to execute the command. Click Close to exit. End of steps |
