This section lists and describes performance monitoring parameters, SNMP traps and parameters, data storage, thresholds, and TCA transmission. This section is meant to serve as a high-level overview to the performance monitoring capabilities of the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-5. Performance monitoring for the VLNC50/52/55 and VLNC35 is covered in detail in this section.
The VLNC40, VLNC42/42B, VLNC60, VLNC61, VLNC62, and VLNC64 support performance monitoring parameters that are accessible via CLI commands and SNMP MIBs. The PM parameters are based on RFC 2495(4805), RFC 2558(3592). For details on the supported PM parameters, refer to the “Performance monitoring” section in the “PDH/TDM configuration and maintenance commands” chapter in Alcatel-Lucent 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS-5) Command Line Interface Guide. The SNMP MIBs that are used to retrieve the PM parameters are listed in SNMP interface.
