Existing MA Name |
Maintenance Association Name. This is a drop-down list containing “Create” plus all existing MA Names for the selected MD name above. When “Create” is selected, a new MA name is entered in the MA Name entry (see below). This is to create a new MA name within the selected MD name. The default value. is “Create”. Uses Step-Retrieve-All-MA-Names-in-MD to retrieve the list of the existing MA names associated with the MD. |

MA Name |
Maintenance Association Name. A text string with 1 to 43 characters. There is no default value. It must be unique within the selected MD. The combination of the MA and MD names is called MAID (Maintenance Association Identifier). It is shorter than or equal to 44 characters. If the format of the MD name is NULL, then MA shall be shorter than or equal to 45 characters. The MA Name can not be modifie, if there are any MEPs associated with the MA. |

PW ID |
Pseudo Wire AID for this MA. This is a required field. When creating or modifying the MA, this parameter is a drop-down list with all valid PW IDs in the system. The PW ID must exist in the system already and be configured for creating a new MA. The PW ID can not be modifie, if there is any MEP associated with the MA. Only one MA is allowed per PWID. |
