Parameter |
Description |
CLI command |
---|---|---|
MD Name |
Maintenance Domain Name to which this MA belongs. This is a drop-down list containing all MD names in the bridge. There is no default value. |
ethoam md <MDname> |
Existing MA Name |
Maintenance Association Name. This is a drop-down list containing “Create” plus all existing MA Names for the selected MD name above. When “Create” is selected, a new MA name is entered in the MA Name entry (see below). This is to create a new MA name within the selected MD name. The default value. is “Create”. |
ethoam ma <MAname> |
MA Name |
Maintenance Association Name. A text string with 1 to 43 characters. There is no default value. It must be unique within the selected MD. The combination of the MA and MD names is called MAID (Maintenance Association Identifier). It is shorter than or equal to 44 characters. |
ethoam ma <MAname> |
VLAN ID |
When creating or modifying the MA, this parameter is a drop-down list with all valid VLAN IDs in the system. Valid values: an integer in the range of 0 - 4094. The default value is 0. The VLAN ID must exist in the system already and be configured for creating new MA. The VID can not be modified if there is any MEP (local configured and/or remote MEP list) associated with the MA. The VLAN ID value 0 means there is no VLAN ID associates with the MA. |
ethoam ma vid <vid> |
CCM Interval |
The interval between CCM transmissions to be used by all Maintenance association End Point (MEP) in this MA. Valid values: The default value is 1sec. In R7.2, 10ms and 100ms are also valid values only if the MD Level is 4, a nonzero Vlan ID is configured and Ethernet Service OAM PM is enabled on a single port or a LAG. If there are MEP(s) (local configured and/or remote MEP list) associated with the MA, then the CCM Interval cannot be changed from the range 1 second and above (i.e. 1sec, 10sec, 1min, or 10min), to the range below 1 second (10ms or 100ms) or vice-versa. For CCM interval less than 1 second, no CCM alarms are reported by MEPs in the MA. Link Trace, Loopback, AIS, LM, and DM are not available in the MA. The primary purpose of CCM at intervals less than 1 second is to provide frames for synthetic Loss Measurement performed at a lower MD level. Therefore other functions, including Link Trace, Loopback, AIS, LM, and DM are not available in the MA. |
ethoam ma ccminterval {10ms | 100ms | 1sec | 10sec | 1min | 10min} |
MIP Creation Mode |
Creation mode of MIPs (Maintenance domain Intermediate Points) in this MA. Valid values: Enable or Disable The default value is Disable. |
ethoam ma ma-mip {enable | disable} |
