Use this procedure to show/activate Vendor Specific Fault (VSF) processing on a Down-MEP. It enables receiving proprietary VSF frames which carry remote fault information for the MEP’s port. The MEP must already be created using MEP Configuration.

From the Navigation menu, select Service OA&M → Maintenance Association End Point → VSF Configuration. Equivalent CLI command: ethoam vsf. Result: The MEP VSF Configuration window displays. |

Enter the parameters as required. See Table 16-12, MEP VSF Configuration parameters. |

Click Submit to enable VSF processing for the selected MEP. Click Delete to disable VSF processing for the selected MEP. End of steps |
