Procedure 16-3.5: Configure remote Maintenance Association End Point (MEP)
Overview
Use this procedure to add a remote Maintenance association End Point (MEP) identifier to the list of MEPIDs for a specific Maintenance Association (MA).

From the Navigation menu, select Service OA&M → Maintenance Association End Point → Remote Configuration. Result: The Remote Maintenance Association End Point Configuration window displays. |

Enter the parameters as required. See Table 16-11, Remote Maintenance Association End Point Configuration parameters. |

Click Submit to modify the existing MEP or add new MEP. Click Delete to delete an existing MEP. End of steps |

MD Name |
Maintenance Domain Name to which this MA belongs. This shall be a drop-down list with all MDs on the bridge. |

Maintenance Association Name. This is a drop-down list with all valid MAs in the selected MD (see the parameter above). |

Remote MEP ID/Add |
This is a drop-down list containing “Add” plus all Remote MEP IDs for the selected MD/MA. If “Add” is selected, the field below shall be entered. Remote MEP ID can be found in the dot1agCfmMaMepListTable. The dot1agCfmMaMepListTable also contains the local MEP ID. However, the Local MEP ID information can be found in the dot1agCfmMepTable. |

Remote MEP ID |
For “Add” (see above), this is a editable field. It is the remote MEP ID to be added to the selected MD/MA. Values: an integer ranging from 1 to 8191. There is no default value. The Remote MEP ID is unique in the MA. It cannot already exist. For “Delete”, this field will be a display-only field. For "Add", the Remote MEP ID will not exist in the dot1agCfmMaMepListTable. |
