Procedure 9-9.2: Display alarm events/conditions for all or selected FFP protection groups

- Overview

Use this procedure to retrieve the current status of any reported alarmed, not alarmed, or not reported standing conditions, for the specified FFP AID, matching the specified combination of position-defined input parameters..

If multiple alarm conditions exist, a line of output is provided for each alarm. Multiple alarms are displayed in ascending order by date and time of occurrence.

Any alarm/condition event that is created by the SNMP Trap is also reported.

Equivalent TL1 command: RTRV-COND-FFP:[TID]:AID:[CTAG]::[CONDTYPE]; [ALM]

Login to the VLNC42B.

From the Navigation menu, select TMPLS → Alarms → FFP Condition Report.

Result:

The FFP Condition Report screen displays.

Enter the parameters as required, then click Submit.

Result:

Data for each alarm condition being retrieved is displayed. If multiple alarm conditions exist, a line of output is provided for each alarm. Multiple alarms are displayed in ascending order by date and time of occurrence.

This is the AID of the condition event. It is the TMPLS TUNNEL Protection Group AID (for example, FFPTUNNEL-1-1-{1-64}). Default is ALL.

Input/Output Condition type. Valid values:

  • ALL — Default.

  • FRCDWKSWBK — Working entity forced to switch back to working.

  • FRCDWKSWBK-FE — Working entity forced to switch back to working-Far End

  • FRCDWKSWPR-FE — Working entity forced to switch to protection-Far End.

  • LOCKOUTOFPR — Lockout of Protection.

  • WKSWBK — Working entity switched back to working.

Notification Code

Notification Code, identifies the type of alarm generated by the system upon occurrence of the event identified by the CONDTYPE. Valid value: NA (Not Alarmed).

Service Effect

Service Effect Type output. Valid values:

  • NSA — Non-service affecting.

  • SA — Service affecting.

Date

Occurrence Date, identifies the date when the condition event occurred.

Occurrence Time, identifies the time when the condition event occurred.
