Procedure 9-7.2: View/Modify Pseudowire configuration

- Overview

Use this procedure to display the initial setting for the selected PW and PW Segment. Some of the fields in both PW and its PWSegment are editable.

Use the Web GUI and this procedure or the rtrv-tmpls-pw and rtrv-tmpls-pwseg TL1 commands to retrieve the PWs and pseudowire configuration.

The ed-tmpls-pw command allows the user to edit pseudowires parameters. A Pseudowire can only be manually edited through ent-tmpls-pwseg and ent-tmpls-crspwseg. In order to move a PW from one Tunnel to another, the command ed-tmpls-pwseg is used, modifying the PORT=TUSEG parameter.

The pseudowire parameters can be modified using the ed-tmpls-pwseg command or this procedure.

Refer to the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS-5) TL1 Command Guide for T-MPLS, for help on using TLI commands.

Step

1

Login to the VLNC42B.

2

From the Navigation menu, select TMPLS → Pseudo Wire Management → PW Configuration.

Equivalent TLI command: rtrv-tmpls-pwseg.

Result:

The Pseudo Wire Configuration screen displays the information for all existing PW Segments.

3

Select the PW AID you want to edit by clicking on the pencil icon (Edit) displayed on the left side of the PW AID.

If you want to delete a PW, select the red X icon to the left of the tunnel AID.

Result:

The Modify Terminated Pseudo Wire screen displays.

4

Enter the parameters as required. Click Submit to apply your changes.

rtrv/ed-tmpls-pw: descr

Status

PW administrative status. Valid values: ON or OFF.

rtrv/ed-tmpls-pw: status

Traffic Descriptor ID

Assigned Traffic Descriptor (bandwidth profile) to the PW. It is a drop-down list containing all TDs that are not referenced by any Tunnel/PW (RTRV-TMPLS-TD:INUSE=NO) in the system. The parameter is only provisionable when the PW is not committed (STATUS=OFF).

Reference: Procedure 9-4.3: Create traffic descriptors (TD) (TMPLS → QoS → Traffic Descriptor Configuration).

rtrv/ed-tmpls-pw: td-id

State

PW operative state. Valid values: UP or DOWN.

rtrv-tmpls-pw: state

PW (Pseudowire) Segment

PW Segment AID

The PW Segment AID for the PW. This is a display-only field.

rtrv-tmpls-pwseg: aid=

Type

Pseudo Wire type. Valid value: TERMINATION. This is a display-only field.

rtrv-tmpls-pwseg: type

The user name for the TUSegment. The valid value is a character string up to 30 valid characters. This is an editable field.

rtrv/ed-tmpls-pwseg: user-name

In Label

The expected Label for the incoming segment associated to the Sink PWSegment. This is an editable field. The label value must be unique in the system. Valid values: an integer in the range of 16 - 1023. It cannot be edited when the selected PWSegment is involved in any ETS VPWS Service. Note that the In Labels 16 - 1023 is for services and 1024 - 2023 are for IEEE 1588 PTP traffic.

rtrv/ed-tmpls-pwseg: inlabel

Out Label

The Transmitted Label for outgoing segment to Source PWSegment. This is an editable field. The label value must be unique on the TUGSegment basis. Valid values: an integer in the range of 16 - 1048575. It cannot be edited when the selected PWSegment is involved in any ETS VPWS Service.

rtrv/ed-tmpls-pwseg: outlabel
